Samsung Announces Smart Inventory Management for Bespoke Refrigerators. SEOUL, South Korea—Samsung Electronics introduced a new feature for its Bespoke Refrigerator lineup. The Smart Inventory Management system aims to simplify kitchen organization. It helps users track food items automatically. The technology uses AI to identify products stored inside. It works with built-in cameras scanning the fridge’s contents. Users view real-time updates via the SmartThings app. The system alerts them about expiring items. It also suggests recipes based on available ingredients.

The feature addresses common frustrations like food waste. Over 30% of household food is discarded yearly due to poor tracking. Samsung’s solution reduces this by sending expiry reminders. Users receive notifications on their phones. The fridge categorizes items like vegetables, dairy, and meats. It keeps a running list accessible anytime.

The Bespoke Refrigerator’s cameras capture high-resolution images. AI analyzes photos to recognize items even when moved. The app displays items with purchase dates. Users add new items manually if needed. The system syncs with Samsung’s Family Hub screens. It works with voice commands via Bixby or Alexa.

Samsung plans to roll out the update globally this month. It will be available for all Bespoke 4-Door Flex models from 2022 onward. Older models require a compatibility check. The Smart Inventory Management requires a Wi-Fi connection. No subscription fees apply.

“This upgrade transforms how people manage groceries,” said Jung Hyun Park, Head of Samsung’s Home Appliance Division. “It saves time and cuts waste. We aim to make kitchens smarter and more sustainable.”

The Bespoke series remains a top seller in customizable appliances. Its modular design lets users mix colors and panels. Samsung reported a 40% sales increase for the line last quarter. The new feature strengthens its focus on connected living.
