The Chicago Cubs will host a tree-lighting ceremony to celebrate the holidays and conclude the team’s yearlong “Let’s Give” service campaign on December 3, 2015. The 28′ tree and holiday décor donated by Christy Webber Landscapes will be located in front of the Cubs Store at the northwest corner of the Clark and Addison intersection. Fannie May will provide sweet treats to guests and Million Dollar Quartet will perform during the ceremony.
Hall of Fame pitcher Fergie Jenkins will be joined by Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts, Cubs Charities Chair Laura Ricketts and representatives from many of the organizations that benefited from the team’s 2015 Let’s Give service projects.
We invite fans and neighbors to participate in a holiday toy drive benefiting deserving children in the community. New, unwrapped toys may be donated at the ceremony or during the Cubs Store’s open hours (10 a.m.-7 p.m.) leading up to the event. Toys will be donated to Children’s Home and Aid Society.
Our friends at Sports Authority will be donating toys and sports equipment. Here’s how you can contribute with this wish list provided by the organization:
