The Chicago Cubs will host the fifth annual Race to Wrigley 5K run on April 24 at Wrigley Field to benefit several charity groups.
The Race to Wrigley will begin at 8 a.m. at the corner of Clark and Addison streets, and the course route takes runners of all ages through the Lakeview neighborhood before returning to Wrigley to run on the concourse and finish under the marquee at Clark and Addison.
All personal fundraising proceeds from this year’s race will benefit Children’s Memorial Hospital.
The top two individual fundraisers will each receive an autographed Cubs jersey. Participants may register at Cubs.com/race.
Pre-registration costs are $35 for a chip-timed run or $30 for a fun run. Runners can pick up their packets at Runner’s Edge, 5243 N. Clark St., or at Wrigley Field on the morning of the race.
Free parking will be available on the day of the event in the Green Lot on Grace Street, east of Clark Street.
Participation is limited and runners should register as soon as possible. All participants will receive a performance management running shirt and are encouraged to wear it on the day of the race.
