A panel of Chicago aldermen today signed off on a plan to allow more night games at Wrigley Field.
The vote without dissent came after a crowd of Wrigleyville residents, Cubs fans and team officials packed into a City Hall hearing room this afternoon as aldermen consider a plan to allow more night games and other evening events at Wrigley Field.
The night game question has been one part of the wrangling between Wrigleyville Ald. Tom Tunney, the Cubs and city officials over a proposal the Ricketts family to make changes at the historic ballpark and its congested neighborhood.
