Wrigley should be cozy home for international friendly

AS Roma meets Zaglebie Lubin with 1st soccer game there since Sting in 1984

There’s no one so well suited to set up soccer at Wrigley Field as Carl Rice.

The Cubs’ boss of ballpark operations recalls working Sting games there as a teenager 28 years ago, the last time the sport was showcased at Clark and Addison.

Now Rice is charged with overseeing Wrigley’s conversion for Sunday’s international friendly at the Friendly Confines as Italian team AS Roma kicks off a three-game U.S. tour against Poland’s Zaglebie Lubin.
