Chicago Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts declined to characterize negotiations with the city over Wrigley Field renovations as anything more than “conversations.”
“Everything takes time,'” he said.
Ricketts was encouraged by Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s alleged love of the Cubs..
“In terms of him being a Cubs fan, it can’t hurt, I guess,” he said.
Ricketts said “everyone should wait until we have the whole plan together.” The Cubs have already moved all their offices to a new building in anticipation of the rehabbing of Wrigley Field. So far, the Cubs have failed to gain much public support for their project.
