Chicago’s Christkindlmarket is headed to Wrigleyville.
Organizers of the annual German holiday markets, which started 21 years ago on Daley Plaza, are adding a third location this year: The Park at Wrigley, the plaza outside Wrigley Field.
The plaza, part of the Ricketts family’s redevelopment of the ballpark area, has hosted community events including farmers markets and outdoor movies since it opened in April.
With the Chicago Cubs’ games finished for the year, it’s getting a holiday makeover. The Christkindlmarket and an 8,000-square-foot ice skating rink are expected to open Nov. 24.
