Chicago Cubs Will Not Be Playing at U.S. Cellular Field

From: FOX Chicago News

Chicago – Social media feeds exploded Monday with news that the Chicago Cubs might be switching sides. But FOX Chicago News confirms that the Cubs will not be playing games on the South Side.

A rumor spread online saying that Wrigley Field renovations would cause the Cubs to play at U.S. Cellular Field in 2013, possibly for an entire season.

But a direct phone call to Cubs spokesman Dennis Culloton cleared the Wrigleyville chatter right up.

“It could not be more false,” Culloton said.

When major renovations do take place, they will be carried out in the off season.
